Flexibility and varied work environments are central to the successful design of the modern office. Moving seamlessly from an open-plan layout, which can offer a communal and energetic atmosphere, to a space perfectly suited for concentration can work wonders for productivity and employee wellbeing.
Answering this need for agility and quick reconfiguration is UK heritage office furniture brand Bisley, which has released Arches, a line of customisable screens. Designed to redefine office layouts, Arches allows employees to take control of their space and physically zone areas to suit different tasks, from hubs for productive brainstorms and dynamic spaces for interactive pin-up sessions to quiet areas for concentration covered with a canopy.
Each Arches screen can be customised to suit the needs of the workspace. The release comes with a range of practical and thoughtfully designed accessories, such as glass whiteboards, adjustable canopies, hanging planters, corkboard and colourful PET noticeboards. Each fabric-covered screen rolls smoothly on high-quality castors and comes in muted or vibrant tones, or in a beautifully detailed ash frame. There is also an option to include a state-of-the-art AV unit, integrating modern technology into the Arches’ portable design. The addition of a media screen makes presenting in an intimate meeting or workshop quick and easy.
“With Arches, we’re redefining how workplaces function – giving teams the power to shape their environment to suit their needs in real time,” says Mark Shatford, design manager at Bisley. “Whether it’s fostering creativity in a brainstorming session, creating a focused space for deep work or seamlessly integrating technology for presentations, Arches delivers unparalleled flexibility. It’s a game-changer for modern offices, empowering workers to collaborate, innovate and thrive.”
