As office design continues to take cues from the hotel, restaurant and residential sectors, onoffice takes a look at some of the lighting products on display at 100% Design
Naomi Paul
Naomi Paul is introducing three new pieces as part of a new lighting collection Light/Shade. The V2 Gluck is designed as an open shade with a direct light souce. When lit, the characteristic openwork of the handcrafted surface creates a soft effervescent glow. The other two products being rolled out are entitled Vex & Cave, and Detail.
Ebb and Flow
Danish lighting firm Ebb & Flow has released Speak Up! ia table lamp that’s reminiscent of an old-school stage microphone. Bringing its metal light fitting and fabric wire to the fore inside a tall domed glass shade, the light is available in silver and brass metal and a variety of glass dome shades.
Bentu Design
Guangzou-based Bentu Design will be showcasing its furniture and lighting designs, which have an industrial aesthetic with cement often as the main material, combined with recycled construction waste and bamboo.
Mullen Lighting
Mullen Lighting, based in Ireland, will be showcasing its latest designs at 100% Design. These incorporate pendant and desk-top lights made from polised brass in pendent, cage and poster light formats. The light pictured above is its Reznor Flush Ceiling Fitting.
MacMaster
The Worcester-based workshop, founded by Alex MacMaster, specialises in timber lighting and furniture products. Every one of its pieces is handmade in Britain and are predominantly used in high-end residential, retail and commercial projects.
Davey Lighting
With roots dating back to the 19th century as a marine lighting manufacturer, Davey Lighting combines tranditional craftsmanship with materials such as weathered brass, polished copper and galvinised cast iron. Pictured above is its Hex pendent light, a box-lantern style, crafted out of weathered brass and clear or frosted glass.
