With the built environment drawing people ever closer to nature, biophilic design is a guiding force for commercial spaces. The new Amtico Form collection is created in the spirit of this movement – harnessing the interplay of colour, diffused light and deeply tactile surface textures.
Designed in the UK by Amtico’s skilled in-house creative team, the new Form collection boasts 36 Woods and Stones offering the charm and character of natural materials with the unrivalled performance of premium LVT. There are three key textures available, including Natural Wood Grain, which recreates the beauty of real timber with authentic grains in seven colours; Artisan Emboss – a hand-scraped surface texture delivering a dense detail previously only found in time-worn, deeply weathered wood; and Ceramic Emboss – a smooth, subtle surface texture that’s closer to fine ceramic in six stone shades.
Form offers a practical way to harness the calming power of natural materials for hardworking commercial environments. So much so, designers can now create spaces that draw influences from biophilic design while contributing to positive wellbeing for occupants. For added peace of mind between cleaning cycles, Form also features high-performance antimicrobial technology with an ionic silver additive, which reduces the presence of bacteria, such as MRSA and E. coli, on the floor by more than 99% over a 24-hour period. Phthalate free and made with over 20% recycled content, this premium LVT achieves enhanced environmental and indoor air quality standards, meeting VOC requirements for wellbeing and air quality across the globe.
Pattern is what Amtico does best and Form’s carefully curated laying patterns have been ‘kept classic’ to stay true to the nature of the collection, while emphasising the natural colour play and flowing grain movement in the products. Designers can quickly specify Amtico’s elegant flooring using one of the pre-designed laying patterns; Parquet (Small and Large), Basket Weave, Pavestone or the new Hex, a sophisticated hexagon shape that showcases Amtico’s advanced cutting capabilities. Alternatively, Form’s well-balanced size options can be used to create impact with simple, timeless pattern options – such as Herringbone Plank, Stripwood, and Broken Bond.
Amtico Form boasts a high density 0.7mm wear layer, high-performance urethane coating, and a 12-year commercial warranty to withstand everyday wear and tear. Form’s planks and tiles can be enhanced with the optional Amtico Acoustic backing layer to reduce impact sound between floors by up to 19dB.
