In our dynamic work environment, we need focus as much as collaboration, escape as much as interaction.
Designed by Lievore Altherr Molina, Parentesit is a system of acoustic sound absorbing panels that provides comfort through privacy, to create intimate spaces within shared living or working environments.
Available in two versions, wall-mount and freestanding, Parentesit offers the opportunity to create enclosed areas for group collaboration or independent work.
The signature and elemental shapes of Parentesit complement Arper’s clean, minimal language to create a visual element that is as functional as it is modern.
Parentesit Wall Panel
Parentesit is an acoustic wall module that reduces extraneous background noise and creates a space for concentration. It is made with an internal panel that has been tested and certified for its superior performance in absorbing ambient sound. Upholstery options are available in fabrics that help to muffle sound, giving additional protection against environmental noise and increased opportunity for quiet, uninterrupted work.
The bold, graphic forms are available in three shapes — a circle, a square or an oval — that can be further customised with the addition of a speaker or ambient light. A built-in LED light softly illuminates the perimeter of the wall panel and an embedded speaker allows you hold a Skype conference or listen to music via Bluetooth from your smartphone.
The audio and light system are both controlled via the Arper Parentesit dedicated app which manages the integrated audio and light system directly from ones tablet or smartphone, with Bluetooth 3.0 and audio streaming through A2DP profile.
Parentesit Freestanding
Parentesit was created with a dual inspiration of minimalist art and classic Japanese interiors. To shift this approach to an architectural scale, Parentesit Freestanding has become a screen, capable of dividing a room in half, or partitioning off a space for quiet, focused thought. Modular by design, each screen can be combined to create new spatial compositions. The freestanding option offers both a private enclosure for collaborative work, and a retreat for individual, focused work.
Parentesit Freestanding is able to stand alone thanks to its matte black metal frame. All panels are available in Arper’s full range of fabric options further engaging the expression of the end user.
The idea of the work place is changing. Today, we live where we work and we work where we live.
Arper designs for the way we work today, and believes that technology should be ideally invisible, intuitive, silent to create a better relationship between object and person.
It is not technology for technology’s sake, but innovation at its purest form, in the service of beauty and human interaction.
We call this “Soft Tech.”
