The new entrance of 2 Leman Street marks the relaunch of the building
Basha-Franklin were enlisted by Brookfield Properties UK to refresh the existing ground floor of 2 Leman Street, Aldgate in order to compete for tenants with a growth of new developments in this up-and-coming city fringe location.
Embracing the eclectic culture and history of the area, the overall design concept creates an immersive human-centred environment expressing texture, colour and biophilic solutions.
The use of ceramic and brick, meanwhile, is a representation of the iconic Brick Lane and a nod to the east end tube art. Striking feature canopies are the focal point on arrival and maximise the impact of the unique volume of the space.
The connection to nature in the space is a juxtaposition to the urban setting, with natural light flooding into the ground floor through the 7m high glazing.
Furthermore, the new ground floor space supports a range of activities that creates a naturally inviting and welcoming destination for tenants and visitors alike.
With a warm, vibrant colour palette and plenty of natural light, Basha-Franklin have designed a contemporary interior experience and an uplifting yet calming environment for those who use the ground floor as an extension of their office space or simply pass by.
