One of the biggest independent showrooms in London, FCI, has announced plans to open a new, multifunctional space with several brands making their UK debuts.
FCI2 will open in December with a range of contemporary furniture brands from Italy, including Gamma Arredamenti and Naos, two brands that debuted at 100% Design in September to a positive critical response. Other brands in FCI2 will include Flexform, Meridiani and Reflex, with some of the latest pieces from the Milan design fair earlier in the year.
The new space will showcase much of Naos’ range of specialist tables, including several of their striking coffee table designs, and it will be the only place to see the brand in London. Gamma will also use the space to establish its brand in the UK, with the latest sofas and armchairs among the collection in the FCI2 galleries.
As part of the launch, the new space will host a talk with Giuseppe Viggano, a designer who helped realise the FCI2 project and has collaborated with many of the brands on display.
In the long term, the space will act both as a showroom and gallery, and, the founders hope, as a space for professionals to connect and collaborate in. “We’re especially excited about the collaborative centre behind the design of the FCI2 project,” said FCI London’s Firdaus Nagree. “Even pre-launch, we can see a real buzz between the interior designers, specifiers, architects and end clients who are congregating in the open plan meeting spaces.”
The launch on 5 December will include talks, industry networking and cocktails, and all OnOffice readers are invited to get their VIP pass for the celebratory event here.
