In a significant move, US Furniture giant Herman Miller will unveil Stem at 100% Office – an integrated storage system that aims to make office space work harder through the use of modular, easily reconfigurable units.
The units are constructed from steel frames similar to A4 binders; they can be used to divide groups or communal spaces, or be placed at the centre of an office to make storage the focal point of the floorplate, which the furniture layout can then be built around. The unit tops can be finished in wood or glass while the back panels can be clad in steel, wood, pinboard, woven blankets or wipe boards.
There are a variety of door types including mono and slider, made from acrylic, wood, steel or glass. Stem also features tipper boxes that hold trainers, bike helmets and handbags.
