London architecture practice Patalab has completed the refurbishment of a four-storey building in Shoreditch using methods and materials that reference the local area and its history of craftsmanship.
The 14,000 sq ft space, which includes a generous internal and entrance atrium, has been substantially upgraded to offer modern offices with natural light, high ceilings and exposed brickwork.
A bespoke facade comprising 250 LED lenses and a sculpted staircase made from curved pipework feature in the glazed entrance lobby. Visible from the street, these dramatic elements play a crucial role in creating a local presence and identity for the refurbished building.
