Architecture and design practice Ted Moudis Associates has designed a New York office for Florida-based car racing company Nascar.
The 14,700 sq ft space on the 40th floor of a building on Madison Avenue was designed to reflect Nascar’s brand and corporate culture. The ceiling above the reception area features dynamic, curvilinear forms that represent a racetrack. Integrated metal inlays on the concrete floor mimic the pattern on the ceiling, while angular walls connect the floor and ceiling.
A custom-designed reception desk, lighting fixtures that appear ‘on the move’, a digital branding wall and a meeting room built inside a reflective cube that denotes the shimmer of oil complete the effect.
