Haru sticky tape to debut at Clerkenwell Design Week

Words by

Japanese sticky tape specialists Haru will produce large-scale street art during Clerkenwell Design Week.

Fresh from a well-reviewed stint in the cult Ventura Centrale event in Milan Design Week, Haru is coming to London. The Japanese sticky tape purveyors will be curating an installation at the prestigious Design Fields at Clerkenwell Design Week.

Haru is an adhesive tape made to bring colour to interiors and to empower people to create their own designs. Similar to washi tapes, ever-popular in craft circles, Haru sticks to any type of surface from walls to wood, and can be peeled off without damaging the finish.

There are eight colour families, different patterns – some traditional, some graphic, some transparent – different kinds of materials, including a tougher Haru for floor use, and four different widths.

At Clerkenwell, Haru will be partnering with graffiti artist Pref, who will use the adhesives on the wall outside the entrance to the Design Fields Pavilion, to create one huge piece of street art.
