This, our 100th issue, is a celebration of the past, present and future of onoffice. We look back at our favourite and most influential cover stars and ask where they are now and the significance that gracing onoffice’s cover has had on their respective careers.

While there are some other concessions to past glories – our columnist Grant Gibson considers the Foster + Partners-designed 20-06 chair for Emeco, which was launched in the same year as onoffice – this issue contains its fair share of future-facing features as always.

We look at a clutch of companies – The Office Group, The Collective, WeWork and Spaces – which are taking co-working to the next level. We also get the inside track on the offices of cyclewear brand Rapha (above) by Jump Studios.

Plus we muse on whether (whisper it) open-plan working may not be the be-all and end-all of office life in our feature on whether the office landscape has come full circle.

Out of office, contributor Clare Dowdy considers the future of materials at Jestico + Whiles’ National Graphene Institute and checks out Hôtel du Ministère in Paris, where designer François Champsaur has gone a bit Mondrian.
