Kazuko Okamoto for Hitch Mylius

Words by

A stalwart of the British manufacturing scene, Hitch Mylius is launching the hm78 chair, made in its factory in Enfield.

Clusters of chairs can be grouped together to make intimate meeting areas, touchdown spaces or seminar room seating. The chair comes either as a standalone unit or with an integral writing tablet; the tablets are made from Valchromat, an FSC wood-fibre material coloured using organic dyes and bonded together with resin.

Bringing an international perspective to proceedings, hm78 is the work of Japanese designer Kazuko Okamoto who is based in Milan.
