hm221 - Hitch Mylius

  |   12 Jun 2015

Hitch Mylius is a British manufacturer of contemporary upholstered furniture. In 2014, they were approached by Paul Sayers, from Central St Martins, to write a brief for final-year product design students. One of the outcomes was the hm221 designed by Timothée Mion: a modular system that alters the perception of sitting. The brief was to consider the changing nature of spaces, itinerant working, collaborative working and social interaction, privacy, and the use of technology in the workspace. Launched at Clerkenwell Design week, hm221 offers a variety of ways to work: letting you sit at different levels, lean while standing and to plug in and use your laptop.
