The launch of Trinetic by Boss Design has taken innovation to new heights. A unique task chair that incorporates a brand new type of movement, it creates a superior and completely natural user experience and its design has radically changed the face of the task chair market.
In honour of this pioneering design, Trinetic recently scooped the ‘Red Dot – Best of the Best’ Product Design Award 2017 – an accolade whose previous winners include Apple, Dyson and Ferrari. Beating submissions from 54 countries, Trinetic impressed with its exceptional quality of design and manufacture, scoring highly across judging criteria that included innovation, functionality and ecological compatibility. This internationally recognised quality seal represents one of the most stringent evaluation processes in the world for industrial design and innovation, fully endorsing the pioneering form and intelligent engineering that has resulted in a truly unique product.
Boss Design conducted two years of intensive market research in which the concepts of how office chairs should move and what they should offer users were completely deconstructed. The outcome was to completely overturnthe market’s fixation with developing task chairs of greater complexity and with increased functionality and ranges of adjustability.
Trinetic provides revolutionary dynamic support through fluid movement, and does not require any user adjustment, multiple components, complex assembly or even training. Trinetic meets today’s flexible working patterns, and its sophisticated and refined aesthetic means it is equally at home in touchdown working, meeting and conference spaces. From a collaborative work chair to an eight-hour task chair, Trinetic responds to the needs of the individual user at any given time.
Trinetic uses three independent pivot points that combine to create a chair that ‘follows’ rather than resists the user. This promotes better support through a wide range of body movements and as well as providing greater comfort and support, it encourages a more dynamic user experience.
Mark Barrell, Design Director at Boss Design, comments: “Having completely deconstructed the market’s established ideas about how a task chair should move and what it should offer the user, Trinetic sets the benchmark for the next generation of office seating. Courtesy of its pioneering design, Trinetic provides tangible ergonomic and commercial benefits in order to meet the demands of a modern workplace.”
Mark adds: “It is an honor to be recognized by the Red Dot judging panel and a very proud moment for everybody involved in this epic project.”
Boasting a sophisticated and refined aesthetic, Trinetic is built around an aluminium cradle that can be finished in a wide array of styles. It can be supplied in any combination of mesh, fabric or leather seat and backrest, together with a choice of four and five-star base options.
