Getting down to work at the London Design Festival trade show

Sophisticated clean lines are combined with an attention to user comfort in our pick of the best office products from this year’s show

Protocol collaborated with Italian brand Metalmobil on its latest product release. Designed by Emilio Nanni, the new Myra chair combines soft seating and versatility. The Myra collection includes a chair, armchair, lounge armchair and barstool, all of which are available with timber or metal legs and in upholstered fabric or leather seats.

Okamura will be launching its Contessa Seconda chair at 100% Design. The long-awaited evolution of the international manufacturer’s popular Contessa design, it is a sophisticated task chair with the highest levels of comfort, thanks to its soft mesh and “smart operation” ergonomics that respond and adapt to the user’s posture.

Kinnarps is set to launch three new chairs by brands Materia, Skandiform and Nordic Care; the Kaloo, Phaze, and Manhattan seats were all designed by Karim Rashid. Nordic Care’s Manhattan chair (right) is bold and practical as well as playful and references Kinnarps’ tradition of creating quality wooden furniture with soft curves.

Swedish office furniture brand Lintex makes its UK market debut at 100% Design. With a focus on writable surfaces and a mission to simplify communication, its design white boards and glass boards are joined by screens and sound absorption fabrics. Lintex products include the Mood Wall, Mood Fabric Table, and Mood Fabric Mobile (pictured).

French furniture company Alki will introduce its Heldu Working Tables to 100% Design. Iratzoki & Lizaso designed the flexible tables, which can be connected to create a variable length platform. Wires run along the table axis in a metal cable tray and power sockets are hidden by wooden and leather blocks. A desk lamp and tidy can also be fitted.
