John McAslan & Partners is to revamp Manchester Science Parks (MSP) creating office space for digital media, biotechnology and IT companies. The practice’s masterplan reshapes MSP’s Corridor site to provide an extra 23,000 sq m of commercial space. The development occupies a prominent site between the University of Manchester and Hulme and it is hoped this will encourage stronger links between MSP and the city’s hospitals. The work will include seven new buildings and a public space, implemented over the next decade. Tony Skipper, managing director of John McAslan + Partners, said: “Over the next few years, we will see Manchester Science Park become a much bigger part of city life. We are delighted to be working on such a prominent scheme that will reshape the ways in which Manchester’s leading institutions and resources will interlink and collaborate.”
