The acquisition of the rare rectangular site at the heart of London inspired designer Foggo Associates and developer Nuveen Real Estate to rebel with their curved creation.
The architecturally striking structure incorporates curved glass and anodised aluminium.
Affectionately dubbed London’s ‘can of ham’, the 24-storey office building was developed by Nuveen to stand as a new icon for the capital.
Totalling 438,000 sq ft, the building includes 308,000 sq ft of commercial space, 4,625 sq ft of retail space and an impressive double height space 6,200 sq ft reception area.
“At ground level, the building makes an impact with landscaped public realm and an impressive double height reception space, featuring an exposed concrete core which houses the main reception desk, a range of bespoke furniture and rugs, complemented with music and a reception concierge service.” Explain Foggo Associates.
The building has already attracted tenants, such as flexible workspace provider Hana, for the uniquely curvilinear office.
