AHMM’s Southwark Tower receives planning

AHMM has won the green light from Southwark Council for a 20-storey tower in south London. The 89m high building called Blackfriars Road will be built on the south end of Blackfriars Bridge. The tower will house 17,600sq m office space for Great Portland Estates. Retail will take up the ground floor and the structure will be wrapped in a pinstrip glass skin. The project is scheduled for completion in 2013.
