Masato Miura’s core motivation for designing the MS40 chair was to shift paradigms towards a more lightweight and agile notion of a dining chair. With a structural composition of geometric simplicity, the design establishes clean lines and grace. With its intentional fragile appearance, the assembly of this plywood chair exhibits robustness owing to its statically well-aligned components that allow for homogeneous force distribution. The MS40 will soon be available in different kinds of hardwoods as well as in an upholstered version.
