Nestled in a patch of parkland in Groningen, the Netherlands, sits a new office building that has been touted as one of the greenest in Europe. It’s certainly one of the most flamboyant. Dutch architecture practice UNStudio has designed two tables with upholstered seats cut into the tabletops. Designed for Prooff the oak tables are supported by a lattice of steel rods and come in white two-seater and shorter, darker single seat versions. Prooff say the table can be used in a variety of ways, including as a quiet study area, meeting place or in a reception. The SitTable is produced by Arco Contemporary Furniture.
