If you haven’t heard of international architecture firm HASSELL yet, that is about to change. Founded in Australia some 70 years ago, it has more than 900 staff and 14 offices in Australia, China, south-east Asia and, as of a few months ago, the UK too. Fresh by Victor Vetterlein
American designer Victor Vetterlein has introduced a new LED desk lamp called FRESH. The design is inspired by tall, wet grass weighed down by droplets of water. The neoprene coated ‘stems’ of FRESH bend in all directions, and the LED source is dimmable and magnified by an acrylic lens. The power voltage converter for operating the LED is stored in the rubber-coated metal base.

Make's 'puffer jacket' wins planning
Make architects has won planning from Camden Council to renovate and redevelop 150 Holborn into 7400 sq m of office space and new apartments. The scheme will include roof top-terraces for both the offices and apartments. The existing building will be overclad in a ‘puffer jacket’ of insulation and will be finished lightweight rain screen of glazed faience and patina metal.
