The 2450 concept chair from Junpei Tamaki Design is made from 5mm-thick acrylic sticks. Although the sticks are weak on their own, they become strong when built up like an architectural structure. The name of the chair comes from the fact that 2,450 acrylic sticks were used to make this structure. If laid out end to end, these sticks would cover a distance of 1,091m.
