Worktech 11 North kicked off today at the BBC’s landmark new building at MediaCityUK in Salford Quays. The event features guided tours of the building and the BBC’s design team will be on hand to explain the project. There will also be talks on the future of work, workplace, real estate, technology and innovation. The event is held by Unwired, the events and publishing arm of the Cordless Group.

Carpets made with Antron carpet fibre can have up to 40 percent lower energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions than most competitive carpets, according to combined life cycle analysis and performance testing results. CRL was chosen to manufacture windscreens and glass railing systems for new walkways and bridges connecting some of the structures in Las Vegas' city centre. The Interiors Group implemented Scott Brownrigg's design for the Russian financial services provider Otkritie's office in Wood Street, London. The reception and 12-person boardroom were relocated, providing a wow-factor view over the Barbican, while the trading floor workstation footprint was reduced by relocating the PCs into a central communications room.
