Inspired by the classical armchair, Philipp Aduatz has combined a sculptural shape with a load bearing system of cell-like appearance in a usable object. A fibreglass reinforced polymer was selected as the material for the Fauteuil II, which pushes the load capacity of the object to the limit and gives maximum stiffness at a very low weight. The Fauteuil II has a limited edition run of only 12 pieces, recently unveiled at the SOFA Art Fair in New York.
