The MBH5 barstool combines both elegance and stability into the constraint of economic feasibility. The design concept is based on seven wooden parts that are die-cut from a single plate. The shapes contributing to multiple stools can be arranged in a way that keeps scrap material to a minimum. The cookie-cutter construction technique establishes a playful look of layered building blocks composed into a sound piece of furniture, while the partially curved edges add an effect of graceful facility.
