Saatchi's new London HQ
Archer Architects has won planning permission to revamp of M&C Saatchi’s London headquarters in Soho. The scheme will refurbish a grade II listed building overlooking Golden Square while an unlisted extension will be replaced by a new five-storey structure housing office space and ground floor shops. The façade will be made from corten steel, ETFE cushions, glazed elements and incorporates photovoltaic panels. The scheme will create 7000 sq m of offices and work is expected to start later this year.

CIFF – Office show
Anyone feeling adventurous might want to pay a visit to Guangzhou, China at the end of next month to visit one of the world’s biggest office furniture shows. CIFF – Office show sprawls over 190,000 sq m and will feature over 900 exhibitors. Marking a change from last year, the show has expanded to cover hotel and school furniture, in addition to commercial furniture for laboratories, hospitals and theatres. Boardroom table - Eborcraft
Office furniture manufacturer Eborcraft recently completed a bespoke order for a prestigious boardroom table. The client’s specification was that the table should match existing furniture. Working from nothing more than a melamine sample, Eborcraft drew upon its extensive knowledge of wood veneers to select a veneer from outside its usual range.
