Searching for Cassiopeia is a limited edition collection of 12 concept chairs, combining different techniques and materials. The collection was exhibited at MOST by Tom Dixon during the Milan Furniture Fair and in the crypt of the Order of St John during Clerkenwell Design Week. The collection is designed by Fabrica and the Benetton Group and manufactured by the Italian Chair District in the heart of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy, an area that has been manufacturing chairs and furniture for over a century. Swiss furniture manufacturer Girsberger has unveiled a versatile concept in Jack. From designer Burkhard Vogtherr, the range offers elegant chairs for the dining or conference table, swivel chairs for the workplace and an easy chair for the lounge. All versions offer surprising levels of comfort, thanks to the latest foam-rubber padding, which allows the seated person to lean back, with a gentle rocking motion, on one of three backrests, varying in height. Optional padded armrests, a footrest and a side table match and complement the Jack line.
