Sleepbox
The Back
A new sleep pod from Russian architects Arch Group just might be the answer to the need for a snooze hostel-int-01in airports, train stations, or even, one could assume, big corporate offices. After all, the concept for these Sleepbox units was to provide rest and relaxation in “modern, aggressive” environments. The 2m x 1.4m x 2.3m boxes are equipped with beds that can be rented for 15 minutes up to several hours – the bedding is automatically changed with sheets wound from one roller onto another. A ventilation system, sound alerts, LCD TV, wi-fi and sockets for a laptop and phone charger mean this snoozing opportunity could potentially involve a bit of work too. Hmmm ... The first samples are expected to be built in the next three months.
